Hello,
I know you're probably still mad, but I hope you'll at least read this note before you throw it into the trash. I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for <what you said>. I didn't mean it, but sometimes we say stupid things in the heat of the moment. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt you.
I'm really feeling like a heel, and maybe you want me to for a while. I suppose I deserve it. But please don't let me suffer too long. I love you like nobody else, and I really hope you can forgive me and just accept the fact that I'm an idiot sometimes.
Please give me a call soon and put me out of my misery. I'll be the one with the noose around <his/her> neck.
Regards,
Jim Karter
