<Recipient Address Goes Here>

Hello,

When we first met and started dating, we spent every possible moment together and I never felt like it was too much. I never thought that would change, but it has. It's too much.

We seem to spend <time spent together>, and it's just getting to be a problem. I've got other friends I'd like to see, things I need to get done, and I really just need some time to myself once in a while.

I hope you understand. I don't want to break up with you. But I think we should take some time off, and then maybe see each other a little bit less often, OK? Please call me and let's talk about it. And remember, I love you.

Regards,

Jim Karter
