Hello,
If you are like me, you've often thought how nice it would be to get to know your neighbors better. Inevitably, however, our busy lives get in the way of this admirable intention.
In the spirit of this impulse, I would like to suggest that we throw a block party. It would be a great way to get together, have some fun, and get to know each other a little better. I would suggest we hold it <date and time>. If this date is good for everyone, I'll circulate a sign-up sheet for food, drinks and supplies. If you will be unavailable on this date, please give me some alternate dates that are good for you. I look forward to hearing from you all very soon.
